If you’re a regular reader of Y’all Weekly, you may already have your tickets to Three Bone Theatre’s “Liberation,” which opened Friday night to a sold out crowd at the Arts Factory in West Charlotte.
We wouldn’t blame you.
In just 14 seasons, Three Bone has gone from staging plays in an attic in NoDa to presenting award-winning plays and managing the Arts Factory, while challenging audiences with narratives that go against the grain in a banking town known for the “Charlotte Way.”
It’s quite the rise for co-founder and artistic director Robin Tynes-Miller, who has also expanded Three Bone’s professional staff. We sat down with Robin for a wide-ranging conversation earlier this week about the 2026 Tony Award and 2026 Pulitzer Prize-winning “Liberation” and the rest of the theater’s 15th season.
You can watch our conversation above, or listen below!
